On November 20, 2024, the third round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was held in Riyadh under the leadership of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Farrukh Sharifzoda and First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Walid bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji.

During the meeting, the parties constructively exchanged views on the current state and prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia in the political, trade, economic, investment, scientific, cultural and security spheres.
Partnership relations within the framework of international and regional organizations were also at the center of the conversation between the parties.
